Alkaline Electrolyzer for Green Hydrogen Production

Our Product

Alkaline Electrolyzer for Green Hydrogen Production

Greenzo Energy is a manufacturer of Indigenous Alkaline Electrolyzers (150 kW-5 MW) and Balance of Plant (BOP). We are proud to introduce our cutting-edge Electrolyzer, a machine designed by the Greenzo Expert team for the generation of green hydrogen through water electrolysis operating on alkaline technology.

Our innovative design aims to efficiently split water (H2O) into hydrogen and oxygen. The Electrolyzer is tailored for large-scale hydrogen production. With the capacity to consume 150 kW to 5 MW of electricity, our system is poised to make a significant impact in the mass production of hydrogen for a sustainable future.

Technology Comparison for Green Hydrogen Production

At Greenzo Energy India Ltd, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. The global race towards net-zero emissions requires electrolyzer technologies that are not only efficient but also affordable, durable, and scalable.

Greenzo’s focus on Alkaline Water Electrolysis (AWE) reflects our belief in combining Proven reliability with continuous technological improvements to deliver the future of clean energy, today.

Why We Have chosen Alkaline Water Electrolysis Technology for Green Hydrogen Production?

  • Mature and well-established technology.
  • Non-use of precious metals like platinum or iridium which favors lower capital costs.
  • It is best positioned for large-scale implementation since it has less dependence on scarce raw materials.
  • Water splitting in alkaline media broadens the selection of the electrocatalysts to non-noble metals or metal oxides.
  • Alkaline electrolyzer has a high technology readiness, with alkaline technology capturing 64% of the expected 2030 market.
  • Steel is one of the major components of an alkaline electrolyzer, and India has emerged as the 2nd Largest Producer of Crude Steel in the world, according to the PIB Delhi report released on 07 June 2023. The other major components of an alkaline electrolyzer system are also readily available in India which makes it convenient and economical to develop indigenously. The availability of the major components of an alkaline electrolyzer system in India also reduces dependency on the import of the materials.

Challenges in Scaling Up Alkaline Electrolyzer and Greenzo’s Unique Solutions

Scale-up Challenges: Current green hydrogen production is often at a relatively small scale, and scaling up to meet global demand poses engineering challenges.

We have designed alkaline electrolyzers with up to 5 MW capacity. Our design of alkaline electrolyzer systems is suitable for scalable and flexible deployment.

We are using electrode materials that boost the efficiency of the electrolysis process, reduce degradation, and lower the overall energy consumption

Enhancement in safety features and fail-safe mechanisms that prevent hazardous situations and ensure safe operation during the production and handling of hydrogen.

We are working in the area of electro-catalysts to integrate alkaline electrolyzers with renewable energy sources (e.g., solar, wind) to enhance overall green hydrogen production.

We aim to develop indigenous alkaline electrolyzers with the improved design of the electrolyzer stacks. We have made improvements in the Balance of Plant (BOP) components, such as water management systems, thermal management, and safety features, to optimize the overall performance of alkaline electrolyzers. These are some of the major factors responsible for the lower cost of Greenzo’s alkaline electrolyzers
